The purpose of this IP Address Allocation Policy is to establish clear guidelines and procedures for the assignment, management, and use of IP addresses by mediabirdco.net. This policy ensures efficient use of IP resources, compliance with relevant regulations, and fair allocation to clients to support reliable web hosting services.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all IPv4 and IPv6 addresses owned or managed by mediabirdco.net and allocated to customers as part of their web hosting, VPS, dedicated server, or other related services.

3. Terms

  • IP Address: A unique identifier assigned to a device on a network to facilitate communication.
  • Static IP: An IP address that remains fixed and is permanently assigned to a customer’s hosting service.
  • Dynamic IP: An IP address assigned temporarily and may change upon reconnection or over time.
  • Subnet: A segmented piece of a network's IP address range allocated to a customer or service.
  • IP Reclamation: The process of recovering IP addresses from inactive or non-compliant customers for reuse.

4. Responsibilities

4.1 mediabirdco.net Responsibilities

  • Allocate IP addresses to customers in accordance with industry standards and regional internet registry (RIR) policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of IP address assignments.
  • Monitor IP address usage to prevent abuse, fraud, or violation of hosting policies.
  • Reclaim IP addresses that are inactive, unused, or violate terms of service.
  • Provide support for IP address related inquiries or issues.

4.2 Customer Responsibilities

  • Use assigned IP addresses solely for the purpose specified in their hosting service agreement.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and hosting company policies regarding IP use.
  • Notify mediabirdco.net of any suspected misuse or security incidents related to assigned IP addresses.
  • Refrain from unauthorized reselling or transfer of allocated IP addresses.
  • Maintain current contact and account information to ensure proper IP management.

5. IP Address Allocation Procedures

  • IP addresses are allocated based on service type, availability, and justified need.
  • Static IPs may incur additional charges as detailed in the service agreement.
  • Dynamic IPs are assigned automatically and may change without prior notice.
  • Subnet allocations are provided for customers with higher demand subject to approval.
  • Requests for additional IP addresses require justification and are subject to approval.

6. IP Reclamation and Reassignment

mediabirdco.net reserves the right to reclaim and reassign IP addresses in the following cases:

  • Non-payment or account suspension.
  • Violation of terms of service or this policy.
  • Inactivity or lack of justified usage over a defined period.
  • At the end of the service agreement or upon service termination.

7. Limitations & Disclaimers

  • Allocation of IP addresses is subject to availability and may be limited by regional or global IP resource constraints.
  • mediabirdco.net makes no guarantee regarding the permanence or exclusivity of IP address assignments except where specified in the service agreement.
  • The customer acknowledges that misuse of IP addresses can result in suspension or termination of service.
  • IP addresses allocated remain the property of JAMILATECHltd.com and/or relevant registries.

8. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in industry standards, regulations, or company procedures. Customers will be notified of significant updates via email or client portal.
