Uptime Guarantee Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Uptime Guarantee Policy is to clearly outline the commitment of mediabirdco.net to provide highly available and reliable hosting services to our clients. We strive to deliver a service level that meets the highest industry standards and ensures continuous website availability.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all hosting services offered by mediabirdco.net, including shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, and cloud hosting platforms. It defines the uptime guarantee, coverage criteria, and compensation guidelines.

3. Uptime Commitment

mediabirdco.net guarantees a minimum of 99.9% uptime on a monthly basis for our hosting services, excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure events. This equates to a maximum of 43 minutes and 49 seconds of unplanned downtime per month.

4. Monitoring and Measurement

Uptime is measured using external monitoring systems that track server availability continuously. The measurement does not include:

  • Scheduled or emergency maintenance with prior notification
  • Customer-caused downtime (e.g., code errors, application misuse)
  • Downtime resulting from third-party software, services, or network providers
  • Force majeure events such as natural disasters or cyberattacks

5. Credit and Compensation

If the uptime for a given month falls below 99.9%, affected clients may be eligible for a service credit based on the duration of the outage:

  • 99.0% – 99.89%: 10% credit of the monthly hosting fee
  • 95.0% – 98.99%: 25% credit
  • Below 95.0%: 50% credit

To receive a credit, clients must submit a written request to support@mediabirdco.net. Within 7 business days of the reported downtime.

6. Responsibilities

  • Maintain robust, redundant infrastructure to minimize service disruptions
  • Monitor servers and networks 24/7
  • Notify customers of scheduled maintenance in advance
  • Promptly respond to unplanned outages and technical issues

Client Responsibilities:

  • Keep website code and applications updated and secure
  • Avoid resource abuse or activities that may compromise server performance
  • Report service disruptions immediately via the support portal

7. Disclaimers

  • Service credits are not refundable or transferable and may not exceed the monthly hosting fee.
  • Uptime calculations are based solely on JAMILATECHltd.com's internal monitoring systems.
  • We do not guarantee uptime for services not under our direct control (e.g., domain DNS propagation, third-party plugins).
  • This policy does not apply to accounts in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Scheduled Maintenance

We reserve the right to perform routine maintenance to upgrade systems or improve service performance. Clients will be notified in advance via email or announcements in the client portal. These windows are excluded from uptime calculations.

9. Policy Updates

This Uptime Guarantee Policy is subject to change at any time. Material changes will be communicated through our website and/or email. Continued use of our hosting services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
